I.T.K.A. INFORMATION BULLETTIN

Dear Sir/Madam:

We are writing from the headquarters of the International Taiji-quan Fung-fu Association, based in Italy, and founded in 2000 by world renowned Master Gianfranco Pace. With the scope of promoting and bringing to the greater public the Chen style of Taiji-quan, based upon the most traditional and ancient original principles, the I.T.K.A. has been active since its inception in various cities around the world bringing the art of Taiji-quan within the reach of many amongst seasoned practitioners and novices alike. The Study Program at the I.T.K.A. traces the same basic, intermediate and advanced programs taught to this day in the school of the Chen Family in Chenjiagou, China. There is where Master Pace trained directly with 19th generation Master Chen Xiaoxing, brother of Master Chen Xiaowang.

Master Gianfranco Pace himself, trainer in chief at the I.T.K.A., is pleased to inform you and everyone who might be interested that from the July 1st to 14th 2004, he will be visiting the United States. His American tour, during which he will promote the Taiji style according to the Chen Family, will take him and his entourage to Orlando, Florida (June 30-July 4) where he will attend with two performances as a special honorary guest, the International World Championships [visit dedicated website at www.kungfuchampionship.com]; later (July 6-13), he will be in New York City, where he will host an array of performances, demonstrations and seminars as well as some individual and group sessions.

Interested individuals are welcome to join-in to partake of these seminars. Furthermore, on a limited schedule, Master Pace will be available to American martial arts schools wishing to host him in their premises, for special performances or seminars. These can be requested directly through the I.T.K.A. by May 5th 2004, either as special seminars or as individual training sessions for advanced students or teachers on any subject that makes up the curriculum listed in the attached program (see next page).

The American tour will focus on the following items of the main Martial Program:

- Traditional ancient routine of the Chen Family: Xin Jia Yi Lu, Xin Jia Pao Cui, and weapons routines both short/long and single/double.
- Tui Shou with traditional and little known conditioning exercise and advanced combat applications.

Meetings will be held in Orlando at the world championships site and in New York City at the St. John’s University campus, in Queens and the P.S. 187 auditorium and gymnasium, in Brooklyn. A more detailed schedule will be provided at a later date directly on the I.T.K.A. web site at www.csstaijiquan.it.

Since the I.T.K.A. is always looking to collaborate with other Masters interested in representing the association around the world, the visit of Master Pace in the U.S. provides a perfect opportunity for a mutual approach to begin a collaborative dialogue with those who would be interested in joining the I.T.K.A.

In order to better be able to plan around everyone’s schedule, we kindly invite anyone interested in participating to any of the above mentioned activities to contact the I.T.K.A. by the May 5th deadline, by sending an E-mail to css@csstaijiquan.it. More information on either the I.T.K.A. or Master Pace can be requested at the same address.
